Who Can Participate?

All Connecticut Visual Artists

CWOS is open to all Connecticut visual artists. Take a look at our Getting Started page to find out which weekend will best serve you and your artistic practice.

Art Students

You are welcome to register as a CWOS member artist or join CWOS as part of a group. Ask your art department if your school would like to participate in an Open Studios weekend.

Artist Groups and Special Programs

Artspace welcomes groups who are pursuing the visual arts as part of a collective, social, educational, or community program. Works and information regarding members of a group may be uploaded to the year-round online directory. Likewise, if your group has a space used to make art in your neighborhood, it may be opened up to the public as part of the CWOS Passport Weekend on October 19/20. You can register to open your own studio using our online system and your group will be listed as a single registrant.

Non-Profit Arts Organizations

Artspace welcomes other non-profit arts organizations to register for CWOS and to highlight members of your organization through the year-round online directory. You are also welcome to host a special exhibition during CWOS in October. Additionally, we are offering reduced advertising rates in our publications for fellow non-profits. For more information, please email caleb[at]artspacenh.org to find out how your organization can be a part of CWOS.

Commercial Galleries

Please email caleb[at]artspacenh.org to find out how your gallery can be a part of CWOS.
