Sponsor & Support
This is the 15th anniversary of CWOS and for this "crystal" anniversary, many ambitious and highly visible events, activities, and partnerships are planned—if you're interested in supporting this vibrant festival, please donate today! There will be excellent settings to highlight our sponsors and their fantastic commitment to local community development. Join First Niagara Bank Foundation, Yale University, and the New Haven Register; past sponsors (City of New Haven Economic Development, Yale-New Haven Hospital, TD Bank, New Mass Media); and others in supporting a vibrant community for visual artists in Greater New Haven! If you would like to support CWOS as a couple or an individual, consider joining the CWOS Host Committee—the Host Committee is composed of civic-minded individuals with a vested interest in the festival. Why support CWOS?
CWOS is the largest Open Studios festival on the East Coast. This festival promotes local pride and is a way for the public to discover the hidden gems—artist studios, workspaces, and works of art—in their community. We expect 300+ artists to open their doors across New Haven, West Haven, and Hamden and 10,000 visitors to attend.
Artspace offers sponsors access to a unique network: culturally adventurous, curious, and active people of influence. Artspace is proud to have one of the largest Facebook networks of any cultural organization in Connecticut, with over 5,400 fans and 1,000 impressions each day.
CWOS offers high visibility. CWOS is promoted on city banners and a billboard on I-95. In addition, each of the three distinct weekends receives media coverage and special e-blasts to over 2,500 people. Printed materials, including cards and a 24-page Official Map & Guide (with sponsor advertising), will be distributed to 10,000 people. Speaking opportunities for sponsors include our Opening Reception on October 5th (1,000 people), an exclusive patrons dinner held at Erector Square on October 12th, and a press conference in early September. Our 5,000 square-foot space is available to our top-level supporters for customer events and gatherings.
CWOS and Artspace stand for community engagement. Artspace has been called "the pride of Ninth Square" by the New Haven Register and is at the heart of the City of New Haven's development plans for that area. Artspace is also nationally recognized for its high quality, intensive, and free apprenticeships and educational programs for teens attending New Haven Public Schools; these offer direct access to jobs, college, and opportunities for civic engagement.
